CRA Hot Rod Camp #9 … Building a 1933 Ford Factory Five Roadster!

Thank you for your interest in CRA Hot Rod Camp #9. This camp will be held July 3-10, 2011 in Columbus Ohio and it will conclude at the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association Nationals in at the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

The project for this camp is a 1933 Ford Factory Five Roadster. This will be a new style build for us this year, but like last year all the parts will be new reproduction parts except for the engine.  The body, chassis, rear-end, interior and more has been donated from Factory Five out of Michigan this year.

We have made this decision for a very important reason!  We need to free up some time for the CRA builders and teachers so they can spend more time building relationships with the teenagers. We value the opportunity we have to invest into the young men’s lives. Our mission remains; investing in the lives of teenagers by teaching and equipping them to live great lives based on Christian values as well as introducing and involving them in ‘the family hobby’ of the street rodding industry.

Won’t you help us? I don’t know of a cause more important than investing in the lives of young people!

‘Please partner with us to change lives and your life will never be the same!’

Many manufactures have offered CRA Hot Rod Camps, Int’l huge discounts on their products and many have graciously donated their products.

Here is how you can help:

1. Cash contributions
a. Level #1- $2500
b. Level #2- $1000
c. Level #3- $500
Of course any contribution is welcome as we partner together to be “cheerful givers” according to II
Corinthians 9:7. All contributions are tax deductible.

2. Provide scholarships—each teen needs $375 for their week at camp as well as monies to get to a camp
location.

3. Provide parts that specifically apply to this ’33 Ford Roadster.

4. Provide projects that have been started or in the process of a rebuild that can be used in the future or sold to
raise money for a camp.

5. If you have or know of a teenage young man (between the ages of 16-19) that might be interested in attending
a camp, please contact the CRA Office.

6.Provide tools and equipment for the CRA Hot Rod Camps, Int’l Camp Trailer.

7. Last but not least: This is a big undertaking and we serve a Big God. We need your prayers before the camp,
during the camp, and after the camp.

If you have an interest in donating parts or a monetary contribution for this camp, or any of the upcoming camps, or donating tools, please contact the CRA office at 209.786.0524 or e-mail to cra@integrity.com for more information. Or you may contact me directly at 580.255.5760 or e-mail me at larry@Christianrodders-racers.org or Dan Jeffries at 304.638.8567 or email Dan at danjeffries@prestera.com.

Your generosity whether it is through parts or financial contributions is greatly appreciated. Please view our Parts Needed List below, or download it for your convenience to see what parts are still needed for this project.

This project will be shown at different Goodguys events as well as other events across the nation and recognition for those who contribute will be displayed along side the finished vehicle. The vehicle will then be sold and the money will go to CRA Hot Rod Camps, Int’l to continue the ministry of existing camps as well as to start new ones.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this ministry. Hope to see you at an upcoming Goodguys event in 2011!
